Rachel here. Recently, I launched a Kickstarter campaign in order to share the mission of RACH WILL - to create beautiful and wearable joy-inducing garments for tall women. With the campaign, I sought to grow awareness amongst family and friends, and to raise financial capital in order to kick off the first capsule collection of RACH WILL.

 

Up until this point, I have been sewing and fulfilling 100% of RACH WILL orders - which has been incredibly gratifying but ultimately is not scalable. Raising $30k would have allowed me to outsource some of the construction, work with a fabrication firm to create proprietary prints for the collection, and establish the supply chain necessary to fulfill the pre-orders from the campaign.  Unfortunately, we didn't reach our goal of $30k. However, the support that poured out from friends and family encouraged me to keep going!

My mission is still the same - perhaps at a smaller scale (I plan to limit sizing to S/M/L for now, and focus on the pieces that tall women struggle the most to find that can accommodate their height/torso/leg length), but now with a lower fundraising goal, and without Kickstarter and the pressure that the "all or nothing" model brings.
